Other Blogs: These are great resources and you may even find that someone else has done the hike you want to do recently or at a similar time of the year in the past.  Also, just great resources for ideas.
  • Family Adventures in the Canadian Rockies: Hands-down, this blog gave me the information that I needed to feel confident to get out into the (new-to-me) mountains with my baby, now toddler.  Awesome recommendations for local hikes in the area.  Also, the organizer of a great outdoor playgroup which I'd love to get involved in, but always feel like my daughter's just on the younger side of their audience, oh well - but, if you have a kid between 3-5, check it out!
  • Hiking with Barry: Definitely not kid-focused!  But, awesome reference for hikes, especially with respect to pictures and trail descriptions.  What I call 'toddler hikes', Barry usually refers to as half-day hikes, but that's kind of nice because you might get two ideas for one area that you were thinking of heading to.  I love the pictures on his blog because I find them especially useful for gauging the difficulty of a trail or if it's Chariot-able.
  • Ski Here: The best winter site around that I've found, so far.  Bob even posts trail info for some summer hikes or rides.  Again, not kid-focused, but useful information for getting out into the front country, especially for x-c skiing.
  • so many more to come...
